Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about parts, sourcing, and how we can help.
Your Questions, Answered
Do you sell both new and used auto parts?
Yes. The Auto Parts Master carries new and aftermarket parts as well as quality, inspected used parts. Used parts are a great way to save money on older vehicles and budget repairs.
What if you do not have the part I need in stock?
Hard-to-find parts are our specialty. Give us the year, make, model, and the part you need, and we will work our supplier network to source it, usually within a day or two, at a fair price.
Do you ship parts? What about local delivery?
Both. We ship auto parts nationwide, and we offer delivery across Nebraska, from the largest cities to the small towns in between.
How do I request a part?
Tap the Call Now button at the top of the site, or use the part-request form on our Contact page. Include your vehicle's year, make, model, and the part you are after, and whether you'd like it shipped or delivered locally, so we can help you fast.
Can you help me figure out which part I need?
Absolutely. Tell us the symptom or the part number off the old part and we will help you match the right replacement before you buy.
Do you offer a warranty on used parts?
Yes. Used parts carry a 30-day parts warranty from delivery unless your quote states a longer term, and major assemblies like engines and transmissions often do. New and remanufactured parts carry the manufacturer warranty. Full details are on our returns and warranty page.
What is your return policy?
You have 30 days from delivery to start a return. Contact us first for a return authorization. Wrong or defective parts are on us, including return shipping. Change-of-mind returns on correct parts carry a 20 percent restocking fee, and installed electrical parts are final sale, which is standard across the parts industry.
How fast will I get a quote?
Most quotes come back within a day, and harder-to-find parts usually within a day or two. The more vehicle detail you give us up front (year, make, model, engine size, and VIN if you have it), the faster we can quote accurately.
Do you sell engines and transmissions?
Yes. Used engines and used transmissions are two of our core categories, with remanufactured options available for many applications. Heavy assemblies like these ship by freight carrier rather than standard ground, and we arrange that as part of your quote.
How do you make sure a used engine or transmission fits my vehicle?
We match by VIN, not by model name alone. The same model year can run different engines or transmissions depending on engine size, drivetrain, and build date, so we confirm the exact engine code or transmission tag code against your VIN before anything ships. If we confirm fit and it turns out wrong, the return is on us.
How does a used engine or transmission ship?
By LTL freight on a pallet. Freight delivers to a business address with a loading dock or forklift, to a residential address with a liftgate for an added fee, or you can pick up at the nearest freight terminal for free. We quote the freight cost up front with the part so there are no surprises.
What mileage should I look for on a used engine?
Lower is better but condition beats the odometer. A 120k-mile engine from a well-kept donor often outlasts an 80k engine that sat for years. We pass along the mileage and donor information our supplier provides on every quote, and engines with verified mileage and test results are quoted as such in writing.
What is a core charge?
A core charge is a deposit built into the price of certain rebuildable parts, like alternators, starters, brake calipers, and batteries. You get it back when you return your old part, which the remanufacturer rebuilds. If a part we quote carries a core charge, we tell you up front so there are no surprises.
How are used parts checked before sale?
Used parts are inspected for condition before we sell them, and we describe exactly what you are getting before you commit. If a part comes from a vehicle with known mileage, we pass that along. You will never find out the condition after the box arrives.
Which brands do you carry?
For new and aftermarket parts we source from established names including ACDelco, Motorcraft, Mopar, Denso, Bosch, NGK, Moog, and Cardone, among others. If you want OEM only, or you want the budget option, say so in your request and we quote accordingly.
How do I make sure the part fits my vehicle?
The safest way is to give us your VIN, the 17-character number on your dashboard or driver door jamb, because it identifies your exact engine, trim, and drivetrain. A part number off the old part works too. With either of those, fitment mistakes are rare, and we confirm compatibility before anything ships.
Do you sell to repair shops as well as individuals?
Yes. We quote parts for body shops, independent mechanics, fleet operators, and DIY owners alike. Shops with recurring needs can call the same number and deal with the same people every time.
